​Ellis trained at The Guildford School Of Acting winning the G.S.A. Acting Award and receiving scholarships from Sir Anthony Hopkins and Michael Redgrave.

He is part of the Authentic Artist Collective, collaborating regularly on projects with composers, puppeteers and physical theatre practitioners.
